Marc
D. Stemp, the long-term President/CEO of Bethel Native Corporation
(BNC) today announced the Board of Directors promotion of Chief
Operating Officer Ana Hoffman to the position of President/CEO of
BNC effective January 1, 2006.
Mr.
Stemp reported that Ana Hoffman is a BNC Shareholder and a former
BNC Director. Ms. Hoffman is a graduate of Stanford University with
an advanced degree from the University of Alaska. She is a lifelong
resident of Bethel, who is married to “Stosh” Hoffman
and has two children, Gage and Eddie.
Mr.
Stemp indicated that he would continue to serve the Corporation
in a mentoring role to the President and the Board of Directors
during this transition phase, until his retirement on May 31, 2006.
BNC
is the sixth largest ANCSA Village Corporation and is headquartered
in Bethel, Alaska. BNC is an active land manger and real estate
developer throughout Alaska as well as the Lower 48. BNC Subsidiaries
are involved in construction, environmental remediation, uniform
and accessories management services, engineering and mapping as
well as health care services.
